In 1979 Director John Carpenter wrote/directed a film that could be considered Halloween 1.5. The Fog depicts a sleepy seaside village called Antonio Bay and the way that they learn the meaning of "vengeance". For this seemingly perfect town masks a guilty secret, a past steeped in greed and murder. Exactly one hundred years ago, the treasure ship "Elizabeth Dane" was horribly wrecked in a thick, eerie fog under mysterious circumstances. Now, shrouded in mist, the long-dead mariners have returned from their watery grave to exact a bloody revenge.
“There’s something in the Fog!?- Stevie Wayne

What you can't see won't hurt you... it'll kill you!
Lock your doors. Bolt your windows. There's something in THE FOG!
When the fog rolls in... the terror begins!

The film stars consist of seven Halloween alumni; Jamie Lee Curtis (H1,H2, H20), Tom Atkins (H3), Nancy Loomis (H1,H2,H3), Charles Cyphers (H1,H2) and Janet Leigh (H20). Also involved in the film is Ty mitchell (H2) and Dean Cundey (H1, H2, H3). The film was also produced by Debra Hill (H1,H2), and Tommy Lee Wallace (H1,H2,H3) was heavily involved with the film. Oh I forgot to mention John Carpenter (H1, H2, H3) served as writer, producer, composer and director for this film.
I highly recommend this film and you can purchase a copy at your local video store, Amazon or some other video service. The video is cheap and I paid $8.99 for mine at Media Play. Please consider adding this film to your collection. By the way, Director John Carpenter makes a appearance in the film too, see if you can recognize him!!! Here are some pics of the famous Halloween alumni as they appeared in The Fog, very little has changed since the filming of Halloween but it is interesting to see these wonderful actors together again!! The film was made for $1 million dollars but grossed over 21 million in the United States. Not bad for a encore to Halloween!
The following appears at the beginning of THE FOG
"Is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream?"
Edgar Allen Poe
Continuity: In the coroners office, Elizabeth's hair is shorter than it is in the rest of the movie, and she's wearing sneakers as opposed to her boots.
